How to Create Personal Calendars

COOSHA offers 2 types of calendars:

Personal Calendars (Show your schedule):

Share the categories within a calendar with friends, family and colleagues instead of the entire calendar. For example, let’s say you created a calendar for your children and share categories such as Doctor & Dentist, School, Day Care and Sports with family and friends. You may choose to share Doctor & Dentist appointments with your spouse, but may choose to share School with not only your spouse but with Grandma and Grandpa too. Only the members you have selected will be able to see these specific events when viewing your calendar. Personal Calendar events are saved in your calendar only and you give other member’s permission to see these types of events when viewing your calendar by adding them to categories.

Group Calendars (Sync/Share your schedule):

You can create Group Calendars to combine schedules. Do you work out on a regularly? You’ll make it to the gym more often when others depend on you, and everyone has access to the same consistent exercise schedule. People have a tendency to drop off when an event is not right there in black and white. What’s your excuse when you know Wednesday is Leg Day? All members part of a group calendar will receive change notifications when events are added, updated or cancelled. For example, create a FINANCE group calendar to share with your spouse to help you both stay on top of bill payments.

Tip: Want to show your spouse that you paid a bill? Slide the event to the left and tap the checkbox to turn the event into a ‘completed‘ task. You will see a strikethrough  the title of the event.

Calendars that you create can be modified to suit your family, work and social organizational needs. Change the title of the calendar and add as many categories as you see fit. Your default HOME calendar title cannot be modified or deleted.

To create a new personal calendar, please follow the steps below:

  1. Tap the second icon from the bottom menu to go to Manage Calendars.
  2. Tap the + icon to the right of My Calendars and save your title in the field provided.
  3. Tap the pencil icon to edit the title of the calendar and/or delete.
  4. Tap the calendar row to add categories and add members to begin sharing events.

Tip: Deleting a calendar will delete all the events associated with that calendar and cannot be retrieved after deletion.
